Women in Production Management

The role of Vice-Chairperson for Women in Production Management was created in 2022 to further empower female candidates and full members of the WG and spotlight women in the field of production through the extensive promotion of their scientific contributions to create more female role models. By raising gender and diversity opportunity areas on the WG agenda, possible measures and interventions are being discussed with WG members (of all genders) to increase the participation of women in high-visibility activities, to encourage the next generation to start a career in production management, and to celebrate the diversity and heterogeneity of our field.

Ensure that our research community can achieve its full potential by promoting women’s contribution to the field of production management. With a more gender-balanced representation, we can all benefit from diversity of thought, bringing new insights to conduct better quality research and contributing more strongly to sustainable development.
